My Projects; Internships Abroad

Smart people, I need your opinions on this one;

When I planned to go to France, I was an 18-year-old girl with sooo many ambitions. The dream would be to do an internship at a company in Paris instead of having to work with something ‘simple’. Something that could really contribute to my career. But. Most companies want people with a higher education. To some extent, I understand that. But what about those young, hungry people who would almost kill to go to another country and do an internship at a company within an area they’re talented in?

I believe that there are some areas where an intern could be accepted without a higher education. Let’s say that there’s a girl called Lisa. She’s 18. She just finished high school in the states and now she wants to combine travel with an exciting internship. She loves graphic design and have skills from Photoshop and InDesign and wants to learn more. Her dream destination is Rome. But when she contacts the companies she’s interested in, they don’t think she’s educated enough. Then, one tech startup asks her for a Skype interview and they can feel her ambition through the screen! They decide to give her an internship for six months as a graphic designer. During her six months, she learns even more within the area, gains work experience, new friends and contacts, the experience of living abroad and learns good Italian. It’s a memory for life and she gets even more work opportunities after her internship. Maybe she can even start her own business at the age of just 19!

I want to find these young ambitious people, these open minded companies and match them together. I want to connect people from all over the world and give them an amazing experience.

Now I need your feedback. Am I totally crazy? What should I change? Do you want to help? Let me know in the comments!

Update – My Projects

If you have been following me for a while, you deserve an update.

I have currently been employed for two months and pretty focused on that during the days. But I have also slowly but surely worked on a few ideas of mine. I’m now trying to put even more work into my projects because in the end, I want them to be my full time job.

Project 1 – known as P1 earlier on this blog

  • Industry: Education with focus on travelling and language
  • When: November 2016
  • Status: I’m currently in the stage where I’m writing the business plan, doing research and market analysis
  • Size of team: Currently just me

Project 2 – known as P2 earlier on this blog

  • Industry: Education with focus on self improvement
  • When: Not decided yet
  • Status: Writing the business plan
  • Size of team: two

Project 3 – new to this blog!

  • Industry: Writing and online marketing
  • When: Soon, probably March/April
  • Status: Writing the business plan and building the website
  • Size of team: Just me

Project 4 – This blog, for instance

  • Industry: Self improvement, business, success, social media
  • When: Currently active
  • Status: Improving the content of the posts, marketing of the blog, improvements on design and the Instagram
  • Size of team: Just me

It may seem as not much has changed, but my ideas have been refined and the development of them will now take off. They are also quite a few, so I won’t have them all done at the same time. I’m excited to start project 3 soon though! What projects do you have in the making?

Follow up on this Week’s Goals

So while sipping my (of course) cappuccino, enjoying Spotify’s list ‘A Creative Day at Work’ and letting my fanatsy flow, I thought about what day it is – Sunday! It’s been a whole week since I stated my weekly goals. This day is not over though, but I’m going to go through them anyway;

Work goals:

Done – I had a successful meeting regarding a potential job/project and I’m very very excited to see where this leads. I could be part of something big and can’t even imaginge how much I can learn from this!

Not done – Pretty much the rest. I haven’t finished the ‘foundations’ of P1 and P2. But I’ve come up with new goals surrounding them and will share them tomorrow. I haven’t really done much to improve Ms.Eriksson. I didn’t do a job searching plan either since I feel like this project I was having a metting about is the job I really want.

Social Media goals:

Done – I hit 4K on Instagram! Wohoo. Even though I wasn’t very consistent with my posts. If you are a follower, then thank you! :* I’ve also gained more activity on my Facebook page and attracted more readers to the blog. Very happy about that!

Not done – The engagement is pretty much the same on Instagram and I haven’t really done anything to get it up since I was, like I said, inconsistent. I haven’t reached 50 likes on Facebook and I haven’t posted three times a day on the blog.

Paris goals:

Done – I’ve got an apartment for the rest of the year, which feels good. I’m going to share it with a friend but have my own room which I feel is ok. I get some kind of privacy. I’ll look for my own own place for the beginning of next year! I also did some more ‘sightseeing’ this week compared to last week. I’ve been to some more of the city parts called Temple, Hôtel de Ville, Panthéon and Luxembourg (also known as arrondissement 3, 4, 5 and 6). I’ve tasted more of the food and I still haven’t been disappointed. (More about my third week and French food tomorrow on

Not done – I’m still not done with the first three weeks on my seven-week course in French. I better hurry, because the fourth week’s tasks arrives tomorrow!

Health goals:

Done – I’ve bought pretty good food and have eaten properly. I plan to take a step further next week!

Not done – The training of course…

Phew. I’ve learned what I’m capable of and what I’m lazy about. Do you want me to continue the weekly goals? I promise I’ll be better at achieving them!

I’ll continue working now. Peace x AE ❤

So, a lot of people have been asking about my projects. The thing with me is that I tend to be quite secretive about my ‘creations’. I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing. Anyway, I should drop some details on the matter.

I started a project about social media branding this summer, but after a while I felt like I could do something bigger and better. Something that wasn’t as easy, but would totally be worth it. So I started brainstorming, looking at my list of business ideas and one caught my eye. Something that I was looking for myself. Since I couldn’t find this already, I thought maybe I should start this. So my own project is in the area ‘education’. I still have a long way and a lot of question marks to figure out. But if, I mean when, I get this thing rolling, I will share every step with you!

My second project, is something I’m working on with a friend. It also has to do with education, but with focus on women. My first project is education + young people and the second is education + women. So to make it easier in the future I’ll address my own project as P1 and the second as P2. Simple huh?

The goal is to get both of these rolling next year and they should be start-ups by the end of next year. I believe that both of these projects are meaningful but require a lot of hard work. But I want to see both of these business out there so I just got to work hard for these young people and women that will be part of this in the future.

Ok, now I’ve got 25 minutes to get ready to go into town. Have a good Tuesday everyone! ❤
