Update – My Projects

If you have been following me for a while, you deserve an update.

I have currently been employed for two months and pretty focused on that during the days. But I have also slowly but surely worked on a few ideas of mine. I’m now trying to put even more work into my projects because in the end, I want them to be my full time job.

Project 1 – known as P1 earlier on this blog

  • Industry: Education with focus on travelling and language
  • When: November 2016
  • Status:ย I’m currently in the stage where I’m writing the business plan, doing research and market analysis
  • Size of team: Currently just me

Project 2 – known as P2 earlier on this blog

  • Industry: Education with focus on self improvement
  • When: Not decided yet
  • Status: Writing the business plan
  • Size of team: two

Project 3 – new to this blog!

  • Industry: Writing and online marketing
  • When: Soon, probably March/April
  • Status: Writing the business plan and building the website
  • Size of team: Just me

Project 4 –ย This blog, for instance

  • Industry: Self improvement, business, success, social media
  • When: Currently active
  • Status: Improving the content of the posts, marketing of the blog, improvements on design and the Instagram
  • Size of team: Just me

It may seem as not much has changed, but my ideas have been refined and the development of them will now take off. They are also quite a few, so I won’t have them all done at the same time. I’m excited to start project 3 soon though! What projects do you have in the making?

  1. Hi. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have a number of questions.

Why not disclose more of your project ideas? It would give you valuable feedback from your readers and potential costumers. You’ve set a date a year into the future where you will launch a product potentially no one will want, which would be an ultimate waste. Market analysis
    in all its respect, but
how do you know there is a demand for YOUR service or product? No one knows about it (except for friends maybe)? And how do/would you test your product along the way on the market? Because no serious business person would recommend having you first test if people want your product at the launch date, set after a year’s work. I mean, sure, feedback from friends and colleagues is great. But their opinions don’t matter unless they’re your (potential) customers, right? Also, since I’m in business myself, I’ll tell you something about customers and the market. Sometimes, the customers don’t know what they want, even if they say they do. If Apple asked the average potential customer for features the customers would like, they would say something like “a phone that warms your hands would be cool” but wouldn’t actually take that feature into consideration if Apple implemented it when they’re deciding which phone they’re going to buy. So a tip from on founder to another (potentially): don’t find out what the customer says he/she wants, find out what he/she really wants, which cannot always be learned from asking the customer. That’s why you should reveal more of your idea to see what kind of response you get. And trust me, a business idea is rarely worth more than the hard work one would have to put into stealing the idea God knows if anyone likes.

    • Hello there ‘UK’! I am going to reveal more very soon, I just want to get into the idea some more since I’ve been working on other things for a while. I would never wait until launch date and would never just rely on friends opinions! ๐Ÿ™‚ I would like to reveal the actual concept within a month. Just need to clarify some things for myself first. Please come back and let me know what you think of the idea when it’s out there ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a good day!
